As Tax Manager EMEA you will take the lead in managing indirect tax compliance across the region, ensuring the company remains ahead of local, regional, and international regulations. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in a truly global environment.
The role includes support from experienced local tax advisors and close collaboration with the FinOps EMEA team and Group Tax to #makeithappen. Beyond compliance, the Tax Manager will play a key advisory role in exciting initiatives – from new product launches to the Finance Transformation program – where their expertise will help shape the future of Sinch. The role is based in Stockholm, Sweden and report to SINCH Head of FinOps EMEA.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and coordinate indirect tax compliance across the EMEA region, including VAT/GST, withholding taxes, and other local taxes, in collaboration with external advisors and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns, financial statements, and regulatory reports in line with local regulations.
• Implement best practices for indirect tax compliance, driving process improvements and harmonization across regions.
• Manage relationships with external tax advisors to ensure full compliance and commercially viable solutions.
• Maintain accurate tax records and oversee reporting processes within ERP and tax systems.
• Act as the main point of contact for tax authorities, managing audits and mitigating tax risks.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and ensure necessary updates to systems and processes.
• Support transfer pricing requirements in partnership with Group Transfer Pricing and local teams.
• Drive automation and technology adoption to improve accuracy and efficiency in tax processes.
What We’re Looking For
• University degree in law, finance, accounting, economics, or an equivalent field.
• Experience in indirect tax, preferably in an international environment.
• Strong understanding of financial processes and the link between tax and business operations.
• Experience from a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to prioritize and drive compliance work based on risk and business impact.
• English – excellent written and spoken skills.
Your Profile
You’re a hands-on problem solver who takes initiative and communicates with clarity, even on complex tax matters. You work independently with energy and resilience, while building strong relationships across teams and regions. Comfortable in dynamic environments, you thrive on creating processes from scratch and driving change with flexibility and confidence.
• Around 5-10 years of relevant experience in indirect tax compliance, preferably from a mix of multinational corporations and Big 4 accounting firms.
• Strong functional knowledge of Swedish indirect tax, other EMEA countries will be a plus.
